Cafe Cesura @ Bellevue

Sometimes when the world is whizzing by, one just wants to relax and unwind. Look no further than Cafe Cesura to bring on the "me" time. Whether you go with your laptop or a date, you are gonna love it! A fairly new cafe in town, Cafe Cesura will win your heart with it's laid back ambiance and peppy music. Try the minimal fare they offer and you will be bowled over.

Pirq has amazing deals for this cafe. We were lucky to be in the neighborhood and availed a 50% off discount! Since we went about half past three, we ordered off of their "not morning" menu. One orders at the counter and the food is brought over at lightening speed. We started with the coconut curry soup that came with a couple house made kettle chips floating on top.

It was quite refreshing and tasted a lot like the punjabi kadhi sans the pakora. Graduating to salad, we got the roasted root vegetables with ancient farro and blood orange salsa.

Cool, crunchy, subtly flavored and packed with protein!
And, we couldn't resist the mt townsend creamery new moon grilled cheese. Could there be a better soul food?

And A, the coffee addict, ordered a Latte and was quite disappointed when it came served in a glass instead of the huge wide mouthed cup and saucer. Well, it's just their style, huh? The taste was great, though.

My only qualm - they didn't have a high chair for my little one. While this is a really cool, casual hangout to have one, it would come in handy for someone like me. Just my two cents. Yes, I will be back even otherwise :)
